ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids will be received by ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE, EAST PEORIA, ILLINOIS hereinafter known as the Owner, for ILLINOIS CENTRAL COLLEGE CAMPUS PAVEMENT REPLACEMENT PHASE IV LIFE SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS.

All bidders are hereby advised that they must be able to submit, if requested by the Owner, an Illinois Department of Transportation Pre-qualification Statement for this Project prior to opening of Bids.

Bids for “All Work” will be received by the Owner in the Purchasing Department located on the First Floor of the Library Administration Building room L120A, Illinois Central College, East Peoria, Illinois, until 2:30p.m. local time, Friday March 20th, 2020. Bids will be publicly opened, read aloud and recorded in room CC102 First Floor Library Administration Building. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from due date.

Every bid shall consist of two (2) completed copies of Bid Documents and shall be accompanied by bid guarantee consisting of bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check made payable to Illinois Central College, in amount of five percent of total of bids upon which Contractor is bidding. Failure of bidder to submit bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check in amount to cover proposals bid upon is cause for rejection of this bid.

Commencement with work on the project may begin as early as May 26th, 2020. The project shall be substantially completed on or before June 19th, 2020.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner.

Bids on all work of this contract shall be subject to the provisions of the “Illinois Prevailing Wage Act” (820 ILCS 130/1, et seq.).

Drawings and Specifications are on file for reference at the following locations:

1. Office of the Engineer, Midwest Engineering Associates, Inc., 140 East Washington Street, East Peoria, IL 61611.

2. Greater Peoria Contractors & Suppliers, 1811 W Altorfer Dr., Peoria, IL 61615.

On Friday February 28th, 2020 hard copies and electronic copies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS will be available at the office of CBT, 404 SW Adams, Peoria, IL 61602, 309-550-5000, , fax number 309-676-1701, upon payment of $125.00 for each hard copy set of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS and/or upon payment of $25 for each electronic copy set of CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. The cost of the documents is NON-REFUNDABLE. Checks for the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS shall be made payable to: Midwest Engineering Associates, Inc.
