Project Summary:

Pre-Bid Walkthrough:
A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on October 13, 2020, at 3:00PM. The meeting will be held at the project site, 3300 18th Avenue, Rock Island, IL 61201. Attendees must wear masks.

IMPACT Agreement:
The project includes an IMPACT Labor Agreement

General Information:
The project site is located at 3300 18th Avenue, Rock Island, IL 61201.

Lump sum bids will be received at the Rock Island District Office, located at 2101 6th Avenue, Rock Island, IL 61201. Bids shall be submitted in a sealed, opaque, envelope. Sealed bids will be opened and read aloud. Bids shall be addressed – Attn: Bob Beckwith. Bids received after the stipulated time will not be accepted.

Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or cash, in an amount equal to 10 percent of the base bid amount, shall be submitted with the bid. Should a bid bond be submitted, the bid bond shall be payable to the Board of Education – Rock Island – Milan School District 41.
All bidders must comply with applicable Illinois Law requiring the payment of prevailing wage by all Contractors working on public works. Bidder must comply with the Illinois Statutory requirements regarding labor, including Equal Employment Opportunity Laws.

The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, or waive any irregularities or informalities, and to make the award in the best interest of the District.
Sealed bids will be received by the Rock Island – Milan School District 41, for addition and renovation work at the Washington Junior High School.

The project is sales tax exempt.

Contractors may obtain hard copy sets of plans and specifications directly from City Blue Technologies. Contractor shall be responsible for the reproduction costs.
